For a classy gentleman, his words are as important as his actions… Marilyn Anona.

I  love classy men. I am in love with a classy man. When a woman is dating or married to a classy man, she knows happiness twenty four hours of the day. The classy man knows how to treat his woman, reassure her of his love for her, knows her fears and helps her overcome them. The classy man is one who knows how to treat everyone around him nicely. The classy man is principled and disciplined. Being fortunate with money alone doesn’t make one classy because money isn’t something that is not guaranteed to last a lifetime. Class is an aura of confidence that is being sure without being cocky. Class never runs scared. It is self-discipline and self-knowledge. Class is basically an attitude thing. Class is almost lost in today’s society, although it’s still a trait we all respect and admire. Being a classy gentleman means being intelligent, polite and distinguished. You can be classy by making some small changes in your appearance and behavior. Here’s how to be a classy gentleman.

What you should do:

1. Be polite. Take a genuine interest in the people around you and be considerate of their needs.

2. Be courteous. Hold doors for people, pull out chairs for women when they sit, do the things you have seen classy men do in old movies.

3. Be confident and comfortable with yourself.

4. Be clean. Grooming is essential to class. Your hair and fingernails should be short and neat. Your body and clothes should look and smell clean.

5. Be thoughtful. Think before you speak or act. Forethought is a classy virtue for gentlemen.

6. Be modest. Everyone will know who and what you are based on what you do. Classy gentlemen aren’t cocky or arrogant.

7. Have good posture. Stand and sit straight up. Communicate your positive attributes with your body language.

8. Dress the part. Wear clothes that fit the situation. Your clothes should be neat and fashionable, but understated. Remember that jackets have more uses besides weddings.

9. Honor your word and keep your promises. Actions speak louder than words, but for a classy gentleman, his words are as important as his actions. What you should not do:

1. Don’t be loud. Keep your voice and your whole persona toned down.

2. Don’t wear overly flashy clothes.

3. Don’t wear jewelry other than a wedding band and wristwatch.

4. Don’t wear strong colognes.

5. Don’t draw attention to yourself, your good behavior will get you all the attention you need.

6. Don’t be arrogant. This matches up with being modest. It’s worth mentioning twice.

7. Don’t spit. This should go without saying. Not only is it unsanitary, it’s also extremely unappealing.

8. Don’t laugh at the mistakes of others or insult people. Now this not all it takes to be classy. You know some other ways that I may not have written down. In all, men should follow these tips, women love classy men! Personally I am crazy about classy men and I am in love with a classy man. Be Enlightened! Be Inspired!! Be Motivated!!!

  1. Nice one again but I can’t help not noticing and commenting on the #3 of the ‘Donts’. Wearing jewelry isn’t a bad idea outside wedding band and wrist watches. Depending on what you’re wearing, jewelry is part of dressing well, although I’m not crazy about it, I still own a few and I am of the opinion that wearing jewelry wouldn’t turn any woman off except it is excessive. I am sure some classy man would agree with this and women alike.
